Lead Clearance & Dust Sampling Technician – Combined Certification Course

This one-day combined course meets EPA and New Hampshire DHHS He-P 1600 requirements, allowing students to qualify for both certifications through a single training. Participants will learn how to perform visual inspections, collect lead dust wipe samples, maintain chain-of-custody records, interpret laboratory results, and prepare clearance reports that meet EPA, HUD, and NH standards. The course includes lecture, hands-on field exercises, and a written exam. Successful completion satisfies EPA requirements for post-renovation dust clearance under the RRP Rule and New Hampshire requirements for lead hazard determination and clearance under He-P 1608–1611.
